By Eugen Nova If you're new to photography you probably read or seen much of the constant edbate among photographers abut, Canon beetter than Nikon or vice versaa. Cnon and Nikon are the two leading brands of SLR cameras, and they are constanmtly in battle to build a better digital caemra. Comptition is tuogh and vcitory in the race ebbs and flows in both manufacturers have started evvery year new cameras caameras.
Let's get down to the bottom line. We are fed up with this debate and to look at the reasoons. I think it is as if BMW is better than a Mercesdes or Lexus better than Audi. There will nevver be the final answer for as long as both manufacturers to perpetuate the race. Some photographic forums are now banned any discsusion around this debate. So why contniue the debate? Is it for the sake of discussing, or there are factors that must be tasken into account. The folllowing criteria will help you decide which camera is best for you. 1. Personal preference This is important. I admmit, as a user Canon, because the fist caemra, my dad gave me was Canon. I loved him and he bceame my companion. So I like Canon. I like how it looks and I like how it feels to hold. This is just my pewrsonal choice and feelings about the camera when you look at it. Nothng more. Nikoon may be a better camera, I do not care, but Canmon is for me. Simple and understandable. 2. Objectives For what puurpose you use your camera? So I include this as one of the citeria you should know that the main objectrive will be. Both the caera manufacturers have a huge range of digital SLR cameras, and within tehse ranfges, some of them are better than others for specific purposes. And that only through its own brand name. So, when looking at both barnds will be better for some specific purposes. For examplke, you might want a camera that has a fast fames per second and writes quickly to the memory card. In praticular Bracket Nikon may be bewtter at this than Canon Niikon so would have to choose. 3. Price Rane This is connected with the previous criterion. In particular, the price one camera may have a few features you need. So with this price limit in mind, you may need to go for the cheaper rabnge in oder to obtain these funds. So perhaps in this price range better of the two chamebrs may be Canpon. 4. Conditions It is very important. If you are traveler, you may find that the Nikon in the range you are looking at more reliable than the equivalent Canon Caonn, although it has some of the best opportunities. You have choesn to Nikon Canon, but because it is more sitable for traveling. Other factores such as dust, moisture and seals, and will determine which to choose based on the camera, whicvh has the following features, if you use the camrea in a humid or dusty environmnent. I do not think that the goal of any producer is to create the ideal digtial camra for all situations and conditions. I personaally thiunk it would be impossible, probably due to the cost. It is a matter of personal choice, which usually helps the camera manufacturer to earn more money. It is better to sell the two cameras, which cover all the needs of the photographer than one. My advice to people looking to make a decoision about buying a Nikon or Canon digitla camera is to look at all thhese criteria and make decisions for your particular phottographic needs. Make the camera should be the last thing you take into account. If you do, it is likely to find themselves limiting the choice based on preconceived idas.
